1. National Museum of Singapore
One of The National Museum of Singapore’s entrances is opposite Fort Canning. And you can even combine it with a walk at Fort Canning Park.
Inside the museum, you can explore exhibits showcasing Singapore’s history and culture from 1400 to the present day, an excellent opportunity to learn about Singapore’s past and present. 93 Stamford Rd
2. The Central Fire Station
Built in 1908, it is the oldest existing fire station in Singapore. It features a picturesque colonial-style building.

3. Armenian Church
It’s the oldest church in Singapore, built in 1835 by colonial architect G. D. Coleman and funded by the Armenian community.
Inspired by the designs of the Venetian architect Andrea Palladio, the designs emphasized classical elements, symmetry, and proportion.
It was built for the small but wealthy Armenian community to hold religious services.
4. Armenian street
This colorful street is within walking distance from Fort Canning. Named after the Armenian Church, the oldest church in Singapore, it offers a mix of art galleries, restaurants, and historical sites.
The best time to visit is during the day to appreciate vibrant street art and historic architecture, and it’s also charming to explore at night.
5. Peranakan Museum
The Peranakan Museum offers a unique opportunity to appreciate the vibrant colors, intricate designs, and cross-cultural influences that define the Peranakan heritage.

6. Chijmes
Chijmes was a Catholic convent school called the Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus (CHIJ).
Upon entering, you will encounter several restaurants and cocktail bars.

7. Raffles Hotel
The Raffles Hotel is one of Singapore’s most luxurious and iconic hotels. Dating back to 1887, it features elegant British colonial architecture.

8. St Andrew’s Cathedral
St. Andrew’s Cathedral is the oldest Anglican site of worship in Singapore. You can admire its architecture from the outside; the church, built in 1836, is built in the neo-Gothic style and features beautiful stained glass windows.
Unfortunately, the Cathedral Nave is closed for restoration. There are no guided tours, but you can take a virtual tour here. 11 St Andrew’s Rd.
9. Padang
The Padang, meaning “field” in Malay, is a historic open ground in Singapore that you can find in front of the National Gallery; it hosts the celebration of the National Day Parades.
The Singapore Cricket Club (1852) is still at its western end. During World War II, the Padang witnessed significant events, including a Japanese victory parade in 1942.
10. National Gallery Singapore
The National Gallery of Singapore houses an impressive collection of Southeast Asian art.

12. Victoria Concert Hall
Victoria Hall is primarily a concert hall and a venue for musical performances, especially classical music concerts.
This hall has been around since 1905, and after an extensive renovation, it opened again in 2014.
Victoria Concert Hall’s architectural style is neoclassical. Its name comes from Queen Victoria, as it was built in her honor.
13. Asian Civilisations Museum

Another stunning place worth visiting is the Fullerton Hotel Singapore, constructed in 1928 by architects Keys & Dowdeswell in a neoclassical style.
